Tennessee Football Continues to Be the Target of Systematic Online Bullying
Mercifully, the Tennessee Volunteers didn't have to play football this past week.
They were able to successfully navigate their mandated bye week without actually losing.
Sadly though, they don't seem to be getting any reprieve from almost constant ridicule.
The Vols are hosting the No 3 Georgia Bulldogs this Saturday, which is certain to go poorly for the home team.
As if this scheduled SEC game isn't bad enough, ESPN will be in town for the broadcast.
In an effort to promote the game, the Worldwide Leader inadvertently trolled the Shakespearean tragedy that is Tennessee football:
ESPN has literally zero respect for Tennessee. #ladyvols 😂😂 pic.twitter.com/D0LZYTbwUq

We can only assume this was accidental, but there's just something instinctual about mocking the Vols.
Or should we say Lady Vols:
ESPN nailed this one. We are playing the Lady Vols on Saturday night. pic.twitter.com/M2revYZ6je

Can it be seen as anything other than a troll job by @espn to continue to have the “Lady Vols” logo on Tennessee for their game against UGA even after countless people have pointed it out? pic.twitter.com/TBfr2KRLVE

Honestly, this is much more insulting to the Lady Vols, who aren't at all embarrassing:
Stay classy ESPN. Don’t insult the lady Vols like that. pic.twitter.com/mtpx15Zr8U

This is only going to get worse before it gets better.
Jerry may as well be head coach Jeremy Pruitt.
