Tennessee Football Has Officially Rocky-Bottomed Out
The college football season has just begun, but there are a few programs already in crisis.
For instance, the Tennessee Volunteers are in the midst of a full blown existential meltdown.
The Vols hosted powerhouse Georgia State to kick things off, clearly trying to ease into the new season like a warm bath.
However, those scrappy Panthers didn't get the memo.
You can probably deduce where this is going.
What a depressing scene.
The final score of this grisly affair was 38-30, and it was far from a fluke.
Here would be the final kill shot, administered by Panther QB Dan Ellington:
Dude made the Vols look awfully silly, accounting for 200 yards of total offense and three scores.
We'd like to mention here that Georgia State was 2-10 last season, just to get it on the official record.
The nation of Orange is predictably somber:
Final in Knoxville: Georgia State 38, Tennessee 30.

One of the worst days in the history of one of college football’s winningest programs.
Unacceptable in every way.
He's not wrong.

That's a quality sign.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse than the Butch Jones era.....today happens. #PitifulVols

Ah yes, the obligatory Butch Jones reference.
Sadly, these Volunteers are currently failing miserably at life.
