Vontaze Burfict Signs with the Oakland Raiders, which Should Surprise Exactly No One

In what's likely the most predictable transaction in NFL history, the Oakland Raiders have agreed to allow Vontaze Burfict to play football for their organization.

With the Bengals releasing Burfict after seven fun-filled seasons, the productive yet highly combustible LB was loose on the open market.

But due to the existence of the Raiders, dude wasn't available for long.

When Jon Gruden identifies an opportunity for dysfunction, he throws both caution and logic to the wind.

Chucky insists there's an actual plan being executed, but that remains to be seen.

In the meantime, let's just enjoy the irony of accomplished diva and newly minted Raider Antonio Brown joining forces with Burfict.

If you recall, these two dudes have a history.

Reports have surfaced that, upon hearing the news, Brown was immediately placed in the concussion protocol.

Actually, Brown appears to be okay with this strange development, at least publicly.

Everyone appears to have an opinion on the signing, including the Kansas City Chiefs, who are also intimately acquainted with Burfict.

The filthiest player in the NFL is only 28 years old but also has some mileage on him in addition to his penchant for missing time due to injury and suspension.

However, there's little risk here, so why the hell not?

Another suspension is looming.
