For Nick Saban, Discipline Begins at Home on the Treadmill

Nick Saban has earned a reputation for being a relentless taskmaster, demanding perfection from his players and coaches.

When they fall short of these expectations, the feisty Alabama leader of young scholar-athletes can become quite animated, something that's always brought us much joy.

It took exactly one football game to set Little Nicky off this season.

Also, please keep in mind that his Crimson Tide won, 42-3, over the wildly overmatched Duke Blue Devils.

Choice words, indeed.

This wonderful tirade drew on those 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalties, which of course had no bearing on the outcome of the game.

However, there were consequences:

The fact that Saban refers to his wife Terry in such a formal manner is absolutely perfect.

It looks like she took it easy on him though, only ordering 20 minutes of cardio.

This certainly isn't the first time Nick has wigged out over something seemingly trivial in a lopsided victory.

We're quite sure Lane Kiffin remembers this old chestnut:

You'll notice that the Crimson Tide were ahead, 38-10, with under a minute left in the game when this occurred.

Anyway, that swear jar in the Saban kitchen is probably going to fill up quickly again this season.
