Lane Kiffin Flees SEC For Complete Obscurity

Lane Kiffin and his irrational sense of entitlement have formally accepted the head coaching job at Florida Atlantic University.

Somehow, Alabama will have to pick up the pieces and try to salvage their lost season.

Nick Saban's soul mate has been quite publicly desperate for another head coaching gig after being fired by USC at the airport back in 2013.

He finally got his wish, but it is clear this is not what he had in mind.

For those of you scoring at home, FAU calls Conference USA home, no doubt a source of pride for the program.

The fact that Kiffin would accept such a post demonstrates just how badly he wanted to be the top dude again.

It also illustrates the staggering amount of baggage the still only 41-year old has accumulated in his limited years.

It's not like there was an aggressive bidding war in progress for his services.

In fact, Kiffin actually took a pay cut leaving the warm bosom of Tuscaloosa.

However, he had already worn out his welcome with Saban in just three years, which is probably what he does best.

Kiffin is obviously a brilliant offensive mind, but those people skills leave a lot to be desired.

This is the primary reason he is now head coach at a school located in Boca Raton.

There aren't many five-star recruits to be found at Del Boca Vista Phase Two.

But at least Kiffin's a forgiving coach. As in, dude's all for giving his first recruiting efforts a head start by any means possible.

Go Owls!
