Winston's Accuser to Hold Press Conference Friday Before Heisman Ceremony

If Jameis Winston thought his nightmare ended last week when prosecutors decided not to charge him with a crime, he was wrong.

Winston's accuser has decided to hold a press conference Friday, just before the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

Though no one knows what the press conference is about, speculate is rife that it's to announce a civil lawsuit against either Winston or the Tallahassee Police Department for their role in this mess.

As you no doubt recall, the accuser filed a complaint against Winston last December, but an official investigation didn't ramp up until recently, and only when a reporter inquired about what became of it

Winston was not formally charged because there wasn't enough evidence to back-up her claim.

If anyone watched the press conference last week to announce that no charges would be brought against the Florida State quarterback, you could easily see why the accuser would be upset.

The proceedings were cavalier, to say the least. There were even a few chuckles in the crowd about the case.

Not a very professional atmosphere for a serious situation such as this.

The timing of the press conference isn't lost on anyone, either, as it's being held right before the Heisman Trophy ceremony. That cleary was not a coincidence.

We'll wait until Friday to see what this is about, but if I were either Winston or the Tallahassee Police Department, I'd lawyer up quickly. This is not going away any time soon.
