Who knows what contracts lurk in the hearts of agents?

According to NBCSports.com, rumors are flying that Johnny Manziel has been in contact with agents.

If you saw Texas A&M's game last week against Mississippi  State, you just knew that this was the end of Johnny Football, so it shouldn't be a huge surprise that he's casting his bread along the waters.

Now, before you start asking, yes, it's against NCAA rules to meet with agents, but only if one receives benefits. Maybe Manziel got a gladhander; maybe not. Maybe such a meeting or meetings never happened. Even if it or they did, someone's still going to  need proof.

Johnny didn't look too sad about leaving on A&M's Senior Day. In fact, my guess is, if he could, he'd turn pro tomorrow.

Plus, if you read some of Manziel's tweets a few months ago, complaining about being in the spotlight and saying he'll be glad when he is out of College Station, then you know what I'm talking about.

So who knows what headline is just over the horizon?

So maybe it's time to hand off to the World's Finest News Source -- The Onion -- to review its early and amazingly accurate scouting report on Manziel's pro prospects:
