Is the Pressure Getting to Johnny Manziel?

Johnny Football has done it again.

A few months ago, we reported that Johnny Manziel had left Twitter.

Now we see why, after this tweet came from him last night, making made national news as soon as it hit cyberspace:

The carefree college kid who we all thought was enjoying his life seems to be stressing out.

Manziel quickly deleted the message, but it was too late; everyone had seen it and wondered what the hell was he talking about? And a better question is, what happened to make him say that?

Manziel has been in the spotlight almost constantly since winning the Heisman Trophy, mainly because of his own antics, but now he seems ready to cut College Station loose and move on. Could it be that the Boy Wonder known as Johnny Football is tired of the trappings that come with being in the spotlight?

Sounds like it. And he just going to be a sophomore this coming year.

Since their 11-2 season, which included beating national champion Alabama, the Aggies are under a tremendous amount of pressure to have a repeat of last year or even win a national championship themselves.

There are also a brace of college football experts who expect Manziel to repeat as the Heisman Trophy winner. Keep in mind that's only happened once.

So, yeah, maybe the pressure is finally getting to Manziel, and he doesn't know how to handle it. But if he thinks this is bad, wait until this season starts ... or better yet, wait til he gets into the NFL.

If he can't handle the media, fans or defenses geared to stop him -- because there won't be any sneaking up on anyone this time around -- it may be long season for Manziel and the Aggies.
