Bruce Arians Still Thinks the Officials Need Additional Work

In his own delightfully gruff way, Bruce Arians is a prophet of sorts.

The Tampa Bay Bucs head coach suggested out loud before the season began that the officials needed additional game action to figure out the Chinese puzzle box that is the NFL rulebook.

Of course, you don't need to be a Shaman to understand how shitty pro officiating has become, but he did indeed say it.

Well, in the Bucs' 31-24 loss to the Saints in the Superdome, Bruce's team got dicked over more than once.

 

They probably weren't going to win this game, anyway, but the addled zebras did them no favors.

Arians and the the Other Bruce's Boys challenged two separate calls that were ultimately upheld.

The first was a muffed punt that Tampa seemed to have recovered, but the officials felt otherwise.

 

Someone's got the red ass.

Now, the second one's very interesting, as it pertains to the new pass interference challenge rule, the origin of which can be traced back to the moment the NFL slid it right into the Saints during the NFC Championship Game.

Bruce thought the following play was offensive pass interference on the beastly Michael Thomas:

 

Yeah, they probably should've reversed that one.
