Every Day Is Diversity Day under the Watch of Bruce Arians

Professional sports -- or the planet for that matter -- isn't the most tolerant or progressive place to be.

The NFL in particular seems terrified of any sort of tangible change to their precious status quo.

That's what makes Bruce Arians so damn fascinating.

While still part of the establishment, OG's always been a bit eccentric.

Not only does the new head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fill his days with whimsy, he also keeps a sharp eye out for diversity on his staff.

Arians currently employs Byron Leftwich as offensive coordinator, Todd Bowles as defensive coordinator, and Keith Armstrong as special teams coordinator.

It just so happens that these three dudes are black.

It's absolutely true, and it's also sad that it needs to be pointed out as being unique.

However, it's in fact the first time in NFL history that such a staff has been assembled.

But that's not all.

Apparently, Bruce feels the same way about gender as he does race, although he still loathes kickers.

As such, he's hired not one but two female assistant coaches, also a league first.

We could all learn something from Danny Trejo.

Fortunately, we've obtained footage from a recent Bucs coaching staff retreat:

The role-playing is definitely helpful.
