Nick Saban Continues to Dodge the Troy Trojans

Alabama just began the SEC portion of their schedule, so they'll presumably get some semblance of competition going forward.

Of course, it didn't happen this past Saturday, as the Crimson Tide found little resistance from the Gamecocks in South Carolina, winning 47-23.

Head coach Nick Saban has complained on more than one occasion about his inability to find quality opponents to fill out the non-conference schedule.

However, it appears that the Orwellian tyrant forgot to check his own backyard.

That's right Coach, the Troy Trojans won't be ignored:

This feisty program with the equally feisty social media department can be found in tiny Troy, Alabama and is a proud member of the Sun Belt Conference.

Why just this week these student-athletes scored 42 points against Southern Mississippi and still lost the game, so we're certain they could hold Bama to under 80 or so.

The Trojans do make a valid point, though.

If an in-state school is willing to hop on a charter bus to Tuscaloosa, then why would they need a sacrificial lamb like New Mexico St to fly in for a public execution?

Perhaps Saban remembers what the Trojans did to LSU in Death Valley back in 2017.

Yep, that must be it.
