Joel Embiid Still Gives a Damn About the Process, From a Legal Perspective Anyway

The Philadelphia 76ers were recently dismissed from the Eastern Conference semi-finals in the most brutal way imaginable.

For those of you not in the know, the Sixers lost Game 7 in Toronto on a cartoonishly absurd buzzer beater by Kawhi Leonard, who was apparently programmed by his handlers at New Balance to rip the still beating heart out of Philly's chest cavity.

The ball bounced four times, exploring every nook and cranny of the rim before falling.

Oh what the hell, let's have another look.

If you listen closely, you can still hear Kawhi cackling madly.

The Sixers were in a decidedly different place on the emotional spectrum, particularly Joel Embiid, who was completely spent afterwards.

So much for privacy.

At the post-game presser, one enterprising reporter was curious about The Process, a reference to the sometimes torturous Philly rebuild.

Well, asked and answered.

Despite these words spoken raw immediately after a devastating loss, the dude from Cameroon still cares very much about The Process.

You see, we know this because Embiid just officially trademarked it.

And there are 20 more trademark applications pending.

That's some solid entrepreneuring right there, dudes and dudettes.

This means that Embiid can put these words on all sorts of shit, in much the same way Trump puts his name on everything and tries to prevent others from doing the same.

The fan favorite will also be allowed to put The Process on a Shirley Temple, a non-alcoholic beverage that he consumes on a disturbingly regular basis.

We need to get this dude a real drink.
