NBA Cyborg Kawhi Leonard Programmed to Laugh at Really Awkward Press Conference
The Toronto Raptors acquired Kawhi Leonard in a curious trade with the San Antonio Spurs this past off-season.
The two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year seems to be making an effort to fit in with his new team, for however brief a time he happens to be there.
Of course, Leonard may not be entirely human, so any type of social interaction is a learning experience.
The possible machine was introduced to the masses recently in Toronto, and the cringing started shortly after Leonard began speaking.
At one point, a well-meaning reporter asked if there was anything Kawhi would like us to know about him, a question which produced this horrifying moment:
That was deeply unsettling.
After the Interwebs stopped screaming in terror at the implications of that laugh, it quickly pounced:

That would be difficult to explain.
It's 1am and I can't sleep, why? I heard Kawhi Leonard's laugh.

This's also my working theory, as the Leonard model may have to be exchanged for an updated prototype:
Anyway, perhaps the former Spur will master other human emotions during his time in Canada.
Just please stop laughing in public.
