'Chelsea Who?' Says AFC Bournemouth

This is that time in the Premiership season where the real battles are starting to take shape.

Not at the top, where the big brands are vying for spots in Europe that will make them even richer.

No, at the bottom of the table, where relegation to the obviously less lucrative -- and PC-named -- Championship has no guarantee of a quick return to the big stage.

That's where the main lesson of Jurassic Park becomes gospel:

Swansea City's definitely figured that out, with wins over both Liverpool and Arsenal in the past two weeks.

Now, Bournemouth is refusing thoughts of going quietly whenever a precious three points are tossed on the table.

Interestingly enough, Chelsea hasn't been having the best of outings -- by their standards -- at Stamford Bridge so far this season. The Blues were 8-2-2 there, which doesn't really work when you're chasing those superhumans at Manchester City.

So, they more than most should've been aware that danger lurks beyond every corner -- and corner kick -- this season.

This time, it came in the form of wild Cherries.

If there's anything else Jurassic Park taught us, it was beware of cuteness.

The shock to Chelsea then, was that Bournemouth was more than a human postcard of their lovely seaside location.

Coming into the match, only two points separated the Cherries from the relegation zone, and it's clear they realized the urgency of the situation. Even when playing in a big brand's home stadium.

That in itself might explain their 0-3 pasting of the Blues. Nothing fluky about it.

Add to that the fact that Chelsea have been leaking points left and right in their current run. Thus, an upset was surely on the cards for those who were reading them correctly.

The humiliation started when Callum Wilson showed his finishing finesse to open the scoring five minutes after the intermission:

Junior Stanislas’ response to his teammate’s opener was even better:

Nathan Aké -- ironically, a Chelsea product -- came back to haunt the team that developed him with a sweet finish:

The falling Champions have now become the fallen Champions.

And the Cherries have risen to the top of the drop zone logjam:
