Golden Knight Rocks the House, Then Golden Knights Rock the 'Peg

No sport does pre-game festivities these days like hockey.

With the built-in screen an ice surface provides, NHL clubs have taken light shows to new levels of entertainment.

Then there's Vegas.

When it comes to brazen creativity, they know how to keep the most demanding of customers satisfied.

They've added humanics to their pre-game presentations, which obviously features a golden knight and just a hint of desert to delight the non-traditional fan.

Add a bitta Game of Thrones for good measure, and wait for it:

Fortunately, they also squeezed in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals. The league's picky about that sorta thing.

As breathless as that action was, Vegas netminder Marc-André Fleury rose to the occasion late in the game to preserve a 4-2 victory and veryify once again that he's the Knight of Knights:

Fleury had many golden moments, but those back-to-back saves inside of a second in the third period were nothing short of insane.

How do they say it in Québec and deep space?

This is the first time all spring the Jets have trailed in a playoff series. Following on, then, it's the first time they've lost two games in a row.

Neither team seemed to care all that much about taking a stand at center ice, which resulted in a freewheeling exhibition that definitely picked up the tone that Mr Golden Knight ignites in his pre-games.

Odds are strong there's more of the same to come.

The only thing better would be if John Scott showed up in a suit of armor.

The rest of this series, though, is proving to be well capable of taking care of itself.
