It's Over in Memphis

The title of the article doesn't mean the Spurs vs Grizzlies series in the Western Conference Finals is over, even though the Spurs could all but end the series already, leading two games to none in this best-of-seven series.

No, the title relates to tonight's total that Bovada has at 180, which -- based on considerable history between these two teams -- seems to be on the low side.

Just check out the Bovada data tool on our Home page and you'll find that the over in this series has gone 7-3 in the last ten meetings. Also, every game of those 10 has gone over tonight's total of 180, with 182 combined points (done twice) as close as the two teams have come to approaching tonight's mark.

In this series, the totals have been 188 and 182, and yes, the 182 was with overtime. However, it was also with the Spurs suffering through a dismal nine-point fourth quarter; collapses like that are few and far between for a veteran team like that.

The first of the two overs also took place with the Grizzlies' Zach Randolph only able to contribute two points on 1-of-8 shooting from the field. He bounced back well in Game 2 with 15, and don't expect any struggles similar to Game 1 now that Memphis is at home.

There are plenty of numbers to scare away over players, like the Spurs' 42-50-2 record with the over this season. The under has also cashed in for their bettors four times more than the over on the road, as the under is 24-20-2.

The Grizzlies also have brought a lot of happiness to under bettors all season long at 54-40-2, and they've been a solid under play at home, as well. But with every game in the last 10 with these two going over 180, it would be hard to figure this one would somehow find a way to stay that low.

My pick: Spurs vs Grizzlies over 180
