Despite Wearing Three Super Bowl Rings, Troy Aikman Seems Awfully Insecure
Damn these young football tossers and their gaudy, overinflated statistics!
Especially that Patrick Mahomes punk.
This appears to be the sentiment of Troy Aikman, who became alarmingly defensive when The Athletic decided to kill some time and fill some space by arbitrarily comparing some numbers.
Here's what this high-minded, intellectual exercise yielded:
ICYMI: "Patrick Mahomes has thrown 36% of Troy Aikman's career touchdowns, in about 8% of the games" https://t.co/VAJmRm9gmT

While this is factually correct, it's sheer folly to compare the modern, pass-happy NFL with the 1990's version.
However, Troy didn't seem to take that into consideration before rattling off a hasty retort:
iCYMI: Talk to me when when he has 33% of my Super Bowl Titles https://t.co/Ba8kjPRnDs

Beyond being shockingly insecure about his accomplishments, it's unclear what benefit the former Cowboy felt this petty response would produce.

It was a stat that just shows how quickly Mahomes is putting up numbers.

It was not saying he’s better than Troy Aikman, nor was it saying he’s better overall. And yet Troy felt need to assert his assert his dominance?
I don’t like to toss around the word “insecure” but...
And there's your winner.
Maybe Troy should just focus on his current gig.
And mind those double entendre's.
