A Patrick Mahomes vs Josh Allen Throwing Competition Needs to Happen

We currently find ourselves in one of the few NFL quiet periods as we wait impatiently for the 2019 draft.

However, a couple of young QB's are doing their best to fill the news cycle.

Apparently, Buffalo QB Josh Allen challenged KC wunderkind Patrick Mahomes to a football-throwing distance competition, which is quite frankly a brilliant idea.

It took a bit of time, but Mahomes finally got wind of the Allen gauntlet toss.

Here's his reply:

Oh, it's so bloody on.

This is a thing that our weary nation needs now more than ever, as morale is desperately low at the moment.

And what better way to lift the malaise than two dudes throwing a football beyond the Earth's gravitational pull.

Those in the know would call that a big arm.

Meanwhile, in the opposite corner, we have Mahomes, who only threw for 5000 yards and 50 scores in 2018.

Yep, that one went far as well.

So let's find a charity to throw for and get to it, already.

Hopefully, the two combatants will limber up beforehand to avoid injury.

As contest's go, you could do a lot worse.

While certainly fun, a spelling contest lacks that visceral appeal.

Hmmm, that one may not get past the censors.
