Russell Westbrook Refuses to Stop Triple-Doubling
Once upon a time, the NBA triple-double was considered a special occurrence.
However, Russell Westbrook is now making it seem rather pedestrian.
The Brodie recorded his 10th consecutive triple-double Monday night in a win over Portland, a truly remarkable statistical feat.
His 21/11/14 line broke the previous record of nine straight such games formerly held by some dude named Wilt Chamberlain, whose name used to be synonomous with the triple-double, along with Oscar Robertson.
But not anymore.
Here's Russ discussing this silliness after the game:
And how about some moving pictures from the game:
While Westbrook has been amazing, you may have noticed a disproportionate amount of Paul George in that highlight package.
The former Pacer has been crazy good lately himself, and actually messed around and got a triple-double of his own, including a meaty 47 points.
Clearly, these two dudes complement each other quite well, which makes Brodie happy and also positions the Thunder to potentially make a nice run in the West.
Although they'll eventually have to face Golden State.
Just to be clear, in this video analogy, Ivan Drago represents the Warriors.
