Sharapova Shrieks to Another French Open Title

Maria Sharapova's baseline game was at full throttle this weekend at Roland Garros Stadium.

And, as usual, she was in full throat.

The riveting Russian picked up her second French Open championship in Paris, as she bopped and bounced to the tune of a 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-4 handling of Simona Halep:

 

Sharapova is now fully recovered from the nagging shoulder injury that sidelined her for a spell and then hampered her performance when she returned to the tour.

Evidence of this was abundant as she smoothly cruised through the bracket over the past two weeks.

However, there's no background music when the match is in progress. And even though rational explanations exist for grunting, the issue of female athletes grunting is not as appreciated.

Frankly, only Martina Navratilova has a logical counter-argument on the issue, as seen in this clip from 2012:
