Boris Becker Needs Your Help to Find His Trophies

On the bright side, it's bloody impressive to have won so many trophies in a career that he doesn't know where many of them are.

But that's what's happening in Boris Becker's life these days.

A delinquent £3.3million loan to a private bank in London has forced the tennis legend into a bankruptcy that triggered a high-end scavenger hunt for many of his most presitgious trophies.

Arbuthnot Latham & Co had been attempting to settle the matter with Becker since 2015, and last summer, they got the judgment that put him under.

Of course, in finance, there's under and then there's under. The German and his Dutch wife aren't exactly out in the street, but it's safe to say they're currently squeezed.

Amazingly, the 50-year-old Becker's blown through over £100million in winnings.

Dude burst onto the scene as a 17-year-old phenom, capturing the first of his three Wimbledon titles by introducing tennis to the dive:

He added three more Slams before hanging up the racquet and kicking hedonism into overdrive.

It was the usual stuff, like:

  • Getting hit with a £20million divorce settlement with his first wife after she discovered he'd knocked up a Russian model,
  • Not living in Monaco long enough to avoid paying £2.5million in German taxes, and
  • Just, you know, living.

Bankruptcy courts are notorious for having no sense of humor, so since Becker claims he doesn't have the readies, the court says he's gotta create some by selling assets.

Like his tennis trophies, including those six Slammers.

If only Becker knew where they were.

As if anyone outside of a creditor is gonna wanna help a bankruptcy court.

Meanwhile, here's hoping dude doesn't ever lose his memories.
