Those Glass Slippers Finally Fit the Foxes

What was once a pipe dream has finally become a reality.

Leicester City had already clinched the Premiership title without having to set foot on the pitch, but it still felt good to get out there and prove it.

And they did it in style, defeating Everton, 3-1.

The entire season's been a celebration for a club that spent the one before escaping relegation.

 

Football has finally won against dosh.

Sorta.

Against the Blues on this happy occasion for the home fans, Jamie Vardy quickly burst onto the scene, which served as an apt summation of his entire season

Leicester City loves him; the whole world loves him.

After that, the Foxes' home-grown dude, Andy King, doubled both the cushion and the joy in the East Midlands:

The champions are champions, after all.

Vardy stroked his second after Everton gracefully awarded a penalty:

Dude knows how to party.

The Blues got what amounted to a lovely parting gift for Roberto Martínez when Kevin Mirallas found nylon:

 

At that point, who cared? Probably not even the now-ex Everton manager.

 

It was completely overshadowed by one of the greatest upsets in sports history.
