Red Devils Ripped at Liberty Stadium

Ten years ago, if one claimed Swansea would do double on Manchester United in a season, drug testing would follow.

But now, the results would be negative. Just like the Red Devils' fortunes.

Swans laid a 2-1 home protection plan on the Mancunian invaders, humiliating the most successful team in England in the process.

First, though, United did something very non-United. They scored first.

Even Ander Hererra couldn’t believe that one went in, but the crisp build-up deserved it

Had Bafétimbi Gomis taken his chance earlier, the inevitable might have occurred sooner:

Goal line technology saved the English side in this Welsh venue. Sorta like it would have in 1966 for the most famous goal in England's history:

But back to the present.

After the United goal, United became United, as the Gomis near-hit indicated. They still conceded within two minutes after gaining the lead.

As Austin Powers might suggest, it seems Swansea had a Ki player.

United had all the possession and were guns a-blazing, but Swansea showed that the Welsh Rifles were alive and well:

Shelvey and Gomis. Their aim was true.

United now sit fifth in the table with Southampton still to play. This match was yet another example of their failure to capitalize any chances coming their way.

That, Mr van Gaal, is not the best team in the Premiership.
