Manchester United: Finally, a Return to Form?

The team that's struggled to maintain lofty standards after Sir Alex retired seems to have re-discovered its hunger for glory.

The rejuvenated Red Devils from England's second-largest city dominated the San José Earthquakes to the extent that the 3-1 scoreline is a virtual understatement.

Looks like manager Luis van Gaal has finally found the pitch mixture he's been seeking.

It was their little wizard, Juan Mata, who got the show on the road:

Now, that's the Old Trafford style that Sir Alex took with him.

Then came the new boy, Dutchman Memphis Depay, who bagged his debut goal:

Not every player rolls sevens like that for an introduction.

United's defensive issues still haven't been solved, though, and it showed.

The sweeping beauty always delivers.

But United only get pumped up when they concede and such was the case.

The young Red Devils are no ordinary footballers.
