Manchester City Steal One Late

No matter how impressive a side might be in its domestic competition, the Champions League is always the centerpiece of pride.

Manchester City had to wait till the final minutes for all trois points as they edged Sevilla, 2-1.

City's bullying the Premiership, but Sevilla is not a side to take such challenges lightly. The Sky Blues learned this early in the proceedings when Yevhen Konoplyanka put his boot into it on the half-hour:

And this is the defense of the team that tops the Premiership.

No wonder English teams aren't doing so well on the continent.

But what they are good at is attacking, and they attacked.

Wilfried Bony tried to kick it away, but Sevilla was generous enough to concede an own goal.

It was looking as if a stalemate was on the cards, but Ginger Pelé, Kevin de Bruyne, disagreed:

Could be why he came to the Sky Blues with a sky-high price tag.

Well, you do get what you pay for.
