Los Blancos Deal a Blank-o in Bracket Play

Real Madrid claimed an easy result over FC Schalke 04 in the Champions League's Round of 16.

Although the scoresheet indicated a low-scoring 2-0 affair, Real could've easily racked up another six-spot like they did in Germany a year ago. Los Blancos were firing on all cylinders nonetheless.

The first goal came from a usual suspect in Cristiano Ronaldo:

How in the name of Franz Beckenbauer does a cross freeze an entire back four?

He certainly silenced this crowd.

But Ronaldo still needs to work on his cycling skills:

That's a swinging strike on the Atlantic's western shores, dude.

Die Knappen were thisclose to a comeback, but Platte only found woodwork.

Tiger's not the only one who needs to work on his short game.

The second strike of the night came from Marcelo. And we all know Brazilians only hit wonder goals:

Would've had to call bank on the Atlantic's western shores, dude.

So Real is where it usually is, in command. FC Schalke's chances to advance look slim but not impossible. Still the Bernabéu is a haunting place for the visitors. Slim might've already left town.
