Gerrard Guides Liverpool Back to Winning Ways

The 'Pool turned it up when the occasion called.

And that saddened Leicester City.

Liverpool have been the victim of a hectic schedule this season. With UEFA Champions League participation, the Merseyside Reds were finding it hard to cope with both the pressure and Daniel Sturiddge's injury. Their margin of error has been trimmed to the razor's edge.

After their escape-win against the Potters, Liverpool performed brilliantly to upset Premiership newbies Leicester City. Captain Stevey G took matters into his own hands -- or should we say, feet -- and was the maestro for the Reds' victory.

Early Simon Mignolet’s own goal gave them the chills:

Let's look at that again within the context of the highlights and then note the 'Pool's reply was sheer class.

With Reds’ front line strikers showing quality that could generously be described as less than zero, it was the midfield that had to get the job done. With the likes of Gerrard, Lallana, Coutinho, and Sterling, Liverpool will rarely be out of the race.

The Merseysiders seem to be finally gaining momentum, and with UEFA knockout qualification on the line, the win against Leicester meant more than just three points for them.
