Chelsea's Prancing Away from the Premiership Pack

Chelsea needed something special from its vital goal scorer for them to leave the Midlands with all three points.

And sure enough, Branislav Ivanović delievered to securee a 1-2 win over Aston Villa.

This may have been just another Premiership match for Chelsea against the Villans, but it proved to be much more than just that. Chelsea was still without their star duo, Cesc Fàbregas and Diego Costa, and may be the reason why the margin of victory was so slim.

Chelsea got the fireworks started in the eighth minute when with their star striker -- and PSG target -- Eden Hazard delivered a cool finish from sterling service by Oscar and Willian:

José Mourinho’s career result-free campaign at Villa Park seemed to be coming to an end, but an unexpected comeback from the Villains put his dreams on hold.

It came from a brilliant play by Carles Gil on the right wing and ... talk about camouflage from Villa!

No one saw Jores Okore and left him with a free header. Camouflage or poor defending?

The decider was an absolute stunner by Chelsea and a stinger for Villa.

We don’t know about the other right backs of the Premiership, but Chelsea’s lives in the final third of the pitch.

Yeah, clean it up real nice.

The harsh reality for Chelsea’s pursuers now is that they'd better get used to seeing the Blues' tail lights.
