Chelsea's Hotter than Santa in the Wrong Chimney

They're making their own merry at Stamford Bridge.

In fact, Chelsea's rolling through the Premiership like Proud Mary on the Mississippi.

The latest episode found the Blues dealing a 3-0 beatdown to hapless Bournemouth.

It's virtually halfway through the season, and the pursuers are already starting to see the task ahead as daunting.

Premiership standings

Pedro was dazzling all day, finding space behind defenders that resulted in two goals, one of which put him in the scorebook.

That came 24 minutes into the action:

Lightning often doesn't strike that quickly.

Dude's money from there:

The Blues outshot Bournemouth, 14-7, and had the edge in on-targets, 4-3.

Unfortunately for the visitors, they only hit the twine once, and that was into the wrong net:

Not so for the victors.

They're now within striking distance of Manchester United's Premiership record of 14 consecutive league victories.

Chelsea's next two matches are over the New Year's weekend:

  • Home to Stoke City on New Year's Eve, and
  • In North London against Tottenham Hotspur on Wed 4 Jan.
