Arsenal Jilts Another Cinderella, Retains the FA Cup

Not a surprise, really.

The FA Cup will spend another year in north London.

Just as they did last May, the Gunners turned a finalist's dream season of a Cup run into a pumpkin, this time dismantling Aston Villa, 4-0, in a scoreline that was spot-on to the run of play.

Arsenal are now officially the most successful team in FA Cup history with the 12 titles to their name. After years and years of trophy drought, the Gunners are again harvesting the fruits of their ambition.

The FA Cup is renowned for underdogs stealing the spotlight, but Villa were consigned to the role of stage props in this Gunners-dominated performance.

It took damn near the entire first half for the Villains bubble to burst, and Mr Firecracker Hot, Theo Walcott, was the one handling the needle:

Considering his current form, Villa must've been glad he didn't score earlier.

Then came Mr Arsenal himself, Alexis Sanchez:

When you hit these sorta shots every day, you can be Mr Football.

The Gunners' third goal was 'way too easy:

Seems like Christian Benteke is only quality in the other half of the pitch.

Poor Villains thought the afternoon was over, but Olivier Giroud still had a pinch of humiliation to deliver:

So, another triumph for the big brands. For everyone else pursuing the dream, maybe next year. As always.
