The Shot Dude: Bring It on Down to Puckville

Your favorite Shot Dude will be traveling to Puckville today.

Even though this will be an abbreviated article, I've still put in the time to find quality lineup ideas.

There are 12 games on the docket, but our focus is on the nine evening games. Every skater listed is leading his team in a very important offensive category.

You can view these matchups by using the Bovada data tool on our Home page:

FanDuel is the place you want to bring yourself for the best NHL fantasy selection of games.

Well, it worked for Happy Gilmore!

Now. let's find that same happy place. On to our leaders ...

Forwards

Brandon SaadColumbus ($7000) ... is the Blue Jacket team leader in shots with 111 so far this season. Saad just happens to be sizzling lately: six straight games with at least one point and nine total points in those games. I expect a competitive game on home ice for Saad and the Jackets against the Washington Capitals today.

Frans NielsenNew York Islanders ($6900) ... is the Isles' leader in goals with 14 on the 98 shots he's launched in 38 games. Dude registered three points total in his last two, resulting in fantasy scores over seven in both of those games. The Islanders will face a rusty Marc-Andre Fleury, who has missed the last eight games due to injury.

Kyle PalmieriNew Jersey ($5000) ... like Nielsen, leads his team in goals with 16 on 95 shots through 38 games thus far. Dude never seems to end the night with a poor fantasy score and has scored 8 points in his last 10 games. I think the Devils slow down the Dallas Stars tonight and might even pick up a home victory.

Defensemen

Brent BurnsSan José ($8200) ... not only leads the Sharks, but all NHL defensemen, with 159 shots taken. In fact, he currently ranks third in the league in that category. Burns' game log is adorned with points, including 11 in his last 9 games. Burns and the Sharks entertain the Winnipeg Jets, winners of just six road games to date.

Sharks v Jets

Ryan SuterMinnesota ($4800) ... leads the Wild in average ice time with over 28 minutes per game. Dude has scored 24 points in 36 games,10 of which have been on the power play. Suter is due for at least one point, and I think he makes the score sheet today against Tampa Bay.

Goaltender

Roberto LuongoFlorida ($9100) ... not only leads his team with 16 wins but has guided the Panthers to a surprising second place in the Atlantic division, just one point behind Montréal. Florida is on a seven-game winning streak, and dude's won six straight. Riding the hot goalie is a great fantasy strategy, and Luongo is in a good position to hand the Rangers a loss in the sunshine state.

Your favorite Shot Dude hopes you have to bring your pile of cash down to the bank after a successful fantasy night.
