Holtby's Incredible Save Squares Series for Capitals in Game 2

The Vegas Golden Knights aren't the only team wowing crowds with a white-hot goalie and interchangeable parts.

Washington's Capitals lost top-line center Evgeny Kuznetsov to an arm injury after an ultra-crunch of a check by Braden McNabb, but Lars Eller stepped up yet again in these playoffs.

The subtle Swede finished Game 2 with a goal, two assists, and six hits as the Caps claimed a heart-stopping 3-2 victory to break even on the road in these Stanley Cup finals.

Then, there was Braden Holtby, who's been just as sensational between the pipes out East as the Knight's Marc-André Fleury has been in the West.

Dude just made the late-game miracle save of the spring to secure Washington's lead and ultimate triumph:

Those heroics capped a dramatic night for Washington, who effectively neutralized the Knights' zone defense at center ice and matched their hustle hockey intensity, especially around the goal.

On top of that, Alex Ovechkin sniped his first-ever Stanley Cup goal, continued to hit anything that moved -- five in Game 2 -- and as we saw in Game 1, hardly moved when anything hit him:

Put it all together, and Game 2 was just as -- if not more -- entertaining than Game 1.

It remains to be seen how McNabb's forceful rub-out on Kuznetsov will affect the series.

Much will depend on how well Eller and Nicklas Bäckström can cover for him, but it's still a tall order.

The speedy Russian is Washington's playoff points leader with 11 goals and 14 assists in 21 games.

Indeed it is, topped off by the Vegas Knight Line and those totally lit goggles:

Those dudes won't be in DC, but there's no doubt the hits will keep on coming.

On the ice.
