The Baltimore Ravens Face a Scheduling Nightmare

NFL scheduling can be a tricky business.

When you consider the international games, things get even more convoluted.

Teams frequently get screwed over through the fickle hand of the schedule makers.

However, the Baltimore Ravens have decided to screw themselves.

No Ron, San Diego doesn't even have a team anymore.

We're talking about the Ravens.

Baltimore will be playing in one of those action-packed London games on Sun 24 Sep.

Traditionally, teams choose to take their bye after the insane travel obligations involved.

But not the Ravens.

Well, they would prefer to take their bye later in the season, which makes sense in theory, as it'll be in mid-November instead.

Of course, it's just not possible for every team to take their mandated bye right in the middle of the season, but such is life.

As a result, the Ravens get the rival Pittsburgh Steelers at home upon their return from London, followed by a West Coast visit to Oakland.

Ouch, babe.

That's a pretty nasty stretch, but if the Ravens can dispatch the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, it should all be good.

Speaking of the Jags, if it seems like they play one home game every year at Wembley Stadium, it's because they sorta do.

That tire fire of a franchise has played in London every year since 2013, will continue to do so through 2020, and possibly beyond.

The excitement is palpable.

Reports that the Jags will play their entire schedule in London going forward are unsubstantiated.
