Peterson Thinks Vick Should Join Vikes

Can you see Eagles quarterback Michael Vick in a Minnesota Vikings uniform?

Why not?

That's the response the team's feature back Adrian Peterson gives. He says acquiring Vick would make the Vikings a playoff team. Bold words indeed, but he's convinced of it:

Peterson wants Vick with Vikings

At least one NFL-specific media type thinks Peterson is on to something:

So, sorry, Christian Ponder, the tribe of one has spoken, and you have been voted off the island. Or at least, you're not the alpha dog taking first snaps on the island anymore. If the Vikings had a decent quarterback last year, they would have been a dangerous team.

It wouldn't be the first time the Vikings took on a quarterback whom many thought their career was over. Minnesota signed an aging Warren Moon once he left the Houston Oilers.

Next was Randall Cunningham, under whose leadership the Vikings became not only a playoff team, but harbored one of the best offenses in NFL history.

Oh, and let's not forget Bret Favre, who also took the Vikings to within one step of the Super Bowl.

So why not  Michael Vick?

He needs a new start, they need a new quarterback, and Vick has taken teams to the playoffs before. It could be the perfect marriage, which might just lead to a Super Bowl.
