Mike Glennon Is Somehow Already in the Doghouse

Well, that didn't take long.

In an eventful off-season, the Chicago Bears created a QB depth chart situation destined to cause much drama.

Apparently, it took one offensive possession in the first pre-season game to get things going.

Mike Glennon, the presumptive starter, was absolutely miserable against the Denver Broncos at Soldier Field.

His first pass as a Chicago Bear was incomplete.

Here's his second:

Yeah, that is quite pungent.

And the name's Mike, not Rusty.

That horrific pick-six into coverage was just the beginning.

Glennon finished the evening with two completions to his own team on eight attempts for a robust 20 yards.

Mercifully, he only tossed the one pick.

The former caddy for Jameis Winston in Tampa has been placed in an awkward situation.

When the Bears signed him to that silly $45million deal, it was assumed that the team would hold off on using a top pick on a slinger.

Well, this was obviously not the case.

The organization even invited Glennon to the draft party so he could watch.

The clock has now officially started ticking on Glennon.

Chicago isn't going to win many games this season, regardless of who's under center.

Once the Bears get off to their inevitably poor start, there will be no reason not to play Mitchell Trubisky.

Speaking of the rookie, here's his first NFL TD pass, complete with the requisite shot of Glennon on the sidelines:

By the way, Trubisky finished his night 18 of 24 for 166 yards and the score.

Yeah, this shouldn't take long.
