Manning Misses Practice Because of Injury

It seemed like something was amiss with Peyton Manning Sunday night.

He just didn't look like his laser-sharp, pizza-slinging self during that game. Some speculated that he was hurt.

They were right.

The Denver Broncos quarterback does have an injury, but luckily, not to his neck or throwing arm. Apparently Manning tweaked his ankle, which kept him out of practice today.

That may explain why some of Manning's passes looked like a wobbly drone when he threw. He probably wasn't able to plant and throw like the proverbial quarterback manual advises.

He wasn't the only Bronco who missed practice today, either. Wes Welker, Eric Decker ,and Orlando Franklin were no shows due to assorted bangs and dents.

Manning's injury doesn't appear to be that serious, and reports are he'll be back at practice tomorrow and will play Sunday.

No word, though, if Welker, Decker, or Franklin will miss Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.
