Bill Belichick Missing from Coaches’ Group Photo at Annual NFL Meeting

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has never been one to adhere to convention and isn't particularly concerned with perception.

In his latest act of defiance, the great and powerful hoodie decided to skip the traditional group photo at the annual NFL gathering in Orlando.

It's apparently become a standard occurrence for all 32 NFL head coaches to take a lovely group shot together. Well, make that 31 head coaches, as Big Bill chose to abstain for undisclosed reasons.

Last year, Belichick also skipped the photo. However, he was not alone, as New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton was also missing. Of course, Payton had just finished serving a one-year suspension for his role in the alleged 'Bountygate' nonsense, so this presumably had something to do with his absence.

Hoodie had no such excuse. He was just being difficult.

It's been speculated that Belichick’s annual lack of participation in this event involves his status as the only head coach not belonging to the NFL Coaches Association, a fact that is amusing in itself. It's much more likely that Belichick simply enjoys messing with the status quo, as he frequently does with the Patriots weekly injury report.

When questioned about his absence, Belichick growled something to the effect of, “They can Photoshop me in there." Naturally, the Internet obliged enthusiastically.

By the way, please take a moment to acknowledge the magnificent splendor of Andy Reid and his fashionable Hawaiian shirt, which appears to be the very same shirt he sported at the meeting in 2013. Not the most inconspicuous choice of wardrobe, is it?

Anyway, I'm sure the defiant Belichick will continue to take on the establishment for years to come.
