The Purdue Spring Football Playbook Companion

Oh, those sneaky Boilermakers.

It's certainly common practice to attempt subterfuge against your opponent, regardless of sport.

However, the University of Purdue clearly subscribes to a different theory.

The Boilermakers recently played their Spring Game, and it appears they were actively trying to deceive each other.

Actually, there was one play in particular:

Interesting.

Again, this is the Spring Game.

It seems needlessly cruel to expose your own players to the possibility of long-term psychological trauma.

But we can only assume that brand spanking new head coach Jeff Brohm has his reasons, however perverse they may be.

Also, it bears mentioning that these dudes ran that freaky-ass play on the first drive of the game.

The fake flea flicker is certainly an unusual play, but not completely unprecedented.
