Bill Walton Thinks Barack Obama Would Make a Fine Head Basketball Coach at UCLA

When asking Bill Walton a question on any subject, one must brace oneself for possible madness.

One dude who's intimately acquainted with this concept would be Dave Pasch, who is the big guy's college hoops broadcast partner on the Mothership.

The banter flows endlessly with these two madcaps, occasionally creating some remarkable television.

For example, there was this fun exchange during the Pac-12 opener between Stanford and UCLA, with the Bruins having just put former head coach Steve Alford out of his misery.

The former John Wooden disciple really shouldn't toke up during a broadcast.

Of course, this was a perfectly logical query from the bewildered Pasch.

However, when asked to define a set of characterisics, the demented Walton named an individual.

And not just any individual.

No, not Clark Kellogg.

Bill absolutely wants Barack Obama to coach his alma mater.

While the former two-term President knows his hoops and can ball a bit, there are probably a few more viable options floating around out there in the college basketball ether.

Somehow, one of these viable options appears to be Rick Pitino, despite the excess baggage.

But we digress.

Perhaps Walton could handle the UCLA head coaching gig himself.

But then we'd be deprived of genius like this:

Never change, Bill.
