Sixers Winning Streak Reaches 14

For those of you scoring at home, that's 14 consecutive wins for the Philadelphia 76ers.

This notion would have been inexplicable not that long ago, but it's a brave new world in Philly.

The Sixers pounded helpless Dallas, 109-97, to tie their franchise single-season mark for most consecutive victories.

That's pretty okay.

Here are some moving pictures for your viewing pleasure:

Of course, the Mavericks are fully embracing the art of tanking, but so is seemingly half of the Association.

Fact is, dudes and dudettes, the Sixers are really good.

The long-mocked Process is finally bearing fruit. There were some pretty lean years along the way, but look at what it's wrought.

Philly is currently third in the Eastern Conference, somehow ahead of the mercurial Cleveland Cavaliers. They've locked up home court in the first round while also winning their 50th game of the season.

They haven't reached that win plateau in 18 years, since the Answer was marginalizing the concept of practice.

Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid have certainly been practicing, although the recent injury to Embiid is a concern.

The Sixers are set up for a sustained run of excellence, which could potentially yield their first title since 1982-83, when the Doctor and Moses Malone were prowling the Spectrum.

Smooth.
