Crossing The Line: NYC Marathon Finishers Get Blocked By Dikembe Mutombo

Having 24 NBA celebs participate in the New York City Marathon as a prelude to this year's All-Star festivities was an inspired idea.

Having Dikembe Mutombo as the relay's final finisher was not.

The former defensive monster wore high-tops for the tilt, which promoted physical activity and healthy living for people under seven feet tall. His shoes of choice, though, weren't the problem.

"When he crossed the line, he turned around and started blocking people, swatting them away," said closet Kenyan and current NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver.

"If that wasn't bad enough, he began wagging his finger and telling the exhausted runners 'Not in my house!' It was lucky we finished towards the back -- everyone was a DNF after Dikembe got in."

While organizers were less than impressed with Mutombo's block party, tennis star and first-timer marathoner, Caroline Wozniacki, didn't mind the mayhem:

"I'm used to being rejected, so it didn't really affect me."
