Tottenham Reverts Back to that Full-90 Thing
Manchester United’s star-studded roster was outshined by a talented Tottenham squad that actually played like it.
When last seen, though, that talented Spurs crew almost okey-doked its way outta the FA Cup by a Division 2 club.
It's safe to say dudes were severely chastened the next time they hit the practice pitch.
Dudes responded, winning what could've been a most challenging match morer easily than expected, finishing with a 2-0 victory.
Spurs were considered a home dog coming into this one, not only because they lost their bout up at Old Trafford when they met earlier in the season. That and their horrid performance last outing against Newport County.
But Tottenham was always the more dangerous side in the first meeting. They just couldn't finish.
Not this time, as the Red Devils discovered in the first minute:
Christian Eriksen probably never thought he'd score an opening-minute tally against the most successful club in England.
If that sudden disaster wasn't enough for United, Phil Jones decided to score an exquisite goal, himself.
Problem was, dude directed it into his own net:
Strikers dream of finishing as sweetly as this.
United's chase to the top now looks farther away than ever.
