Juventus Edges Spurs, Advances to Champions' Quarters
Not sure what it is about North London football, but for some reason, artistic attacks go hand-in-hand there with deficient defense.
Every season, neither Arsenal nor Tottenham can get their collective acts together.
It's got the Gunner brass thinking that now may be the time to give Arsène Wenger a gold watch for services rendered and show him the door.
And it's pushed Spurs outta the Champions League bracket.
After a 2-2 stalemate in the first leg, Juventus visited Tottenham's temporary home at Wembley for the second leg and sealed the deal with a 1-2 road victory to move into the next round.
The Spurs achieved a new level of team brain farts just after the hour, when Juve gladly pounced for their two goals within three minutes and totally turned the tide.
The game started nicely for Tottenham when Son Heung-Min got on the board six minutes for the half:
The first half was all Tottenham, but Juventus made sure the second was theirs for the taking.
Le Zebre found an opening in the 64th minute when Gonzalo Higuain, with his unusual ways, took a stolen moment to level it all up:
Tottenham's back four was probably still busy pondering that conundrum three minutes later.
That's when Juve's sensation Paulo Dybala gave the world another glimpse of why he's the future:
Who knows? Maybe Juventus will make it back to the title match for the second time running.
