Arsenal's A-Game Blanks Bournemouth

The Arsenal, and Arsène Wenger in particular, have had better starts to a football season;

So they were good and ready to take their frustrations out on someone.

Anyone.

Not the best of times, then, for AFC Bournemouth.

The Cherries wandered into Arsenals sights and got blown outta the water to the tune of a 3-0 bombardment.

This one went by the numbers, starting with injury-prone Danny Welback wasting no time at all to set the tone:

>

Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal’s top signing, showed he was one of the footballing world's best during his time with Lyon. Dude's stepping up in the same way for the Gunners.

Take that, critics of Wenger's off-season signings.

Welback capped the scoring five minutes after the intermission, and what a goal it was:

Outside foot, in stride. Quality.

Maybe there's hope for the Gunners yet. Just like the last 19 years.
