This Feud between Drew Doughty and Matthew Tkachuk Just Keeps Getting Better

Sometimes personal rivalries between professional athletes can be less than authentic or manufactured by the media to an extent.

Well, this doesn't appear to be the case with Drew Doughty and Matthew Tkachuk.

These two dudes are nursing a healthy bloodlust towards one another, which we were quickly reminded of before the Kings and Flames laced up their skates in Calgary.

Here's some fun sound from the two best buds:

Hmmm, that's a spicy meatball.

Most of the hostility seemed to be coming from Doughty, but the feisty Tkachuk had a few surprises tucked away.

After trailing, 3-0, the Flames stormed back and tied the game late:

That was indeed Tkachuk displaying some impressive hand-to-eye coordination for his second goal of the evening, with an assist from a sloppy Doughty.

But the King would make amends in OT:

Goddamn, that dude's fired up.

That's right, Doughty now owns and operates the Saddledome, a fact he reminded the home crowd of as he left the ice:

Those little Hulksters out there sounded pretty pissed.

Absolutely.

We can only hope these two continue to bark at each other, for the NHL's sake.

This.
