A Missing Tooth Is Returned to Bruins Bench by Helpful Islander

Hockey is quite often a very unforgiving sport.

Casual violence is an integral element of the game, with body parts frequently being treated with utter disdain.

But every so often, good will prevails in the midst of the carnage.

During a recent tussle between the Boston Bruins and New York Islanders, a rogue tooth found its way onto the ice.

The tooth in question belonged to Boston's David Krejči, and it wasn't yanked out voluntarily.

That was a wicked collision.

But humanity ultimately won the day, as compassionate New York Islander Johnny Boychuk located his former teammates' tooth and returned it to the Bruins' bench.

Hopefully, Krejči can find a dentist soon, preferably a licensed one.

Of course, damaged bridgework is nothing new in the NHL.

Good times.
