The Vigorous Kliff Kingsbury Is Coaching Like an Old Fart
If this is the future of pro football, then consider us unimpressed.
Shiny new adolescent NFL head coach Kliff Kingsbury is part of the Sean McVay-inspired wave of youthful, offensive minded coaches.
He even drafted the dynamic Kyler Murray to run his wacky shit.
However, while his ideas may be innovative, his decision making and game management are rooted firmly in the dark ages.
The failed college coach and possible leader of a zombie uprising didn't do his Arizona Cardinals any favors on the road in Baltimore this past Sunday.
The Cards played commendably, eventually falling 23-17 to the Ravens.
However, they just might have left a few points on the field.
Kliff Kingsbury's Cardinals have kicked FG's on:

4th-and-1 at the 4-yard line
4th-and-goal at the 3-yard line
4th-and-goal at the 2-yard line
They trail 17-9.
Dude
Dude, indeed.
That's criminally conservative, particularly that first 4th-&-1.
We're not quite sure what Kliff is afraid of, but fear was definitely a motivating factor in those decisions.
These douchey maneuevers aren't just confined to the road, either.
The Cardinals also kicked a FG on 4th-and-goal at the 2-yard line in Week 1.

You may recall that game ended in a tie.
Besides their opponents, the only other person pleased with this strategy appears to be Arizona kicker Zane Gonzalez, who keeps drilling those retro extra points.
