Prince Amukamara Refuses to Be Posterized by the Aging Vernon Davis
The hurdle has became very fashionable in the NFL in recent years.
The ability to jump over a defensive player while running at full speed is a skill most dudes are eager to show off.
Every once in a while, hubris will consume a player who really shouldn't be attempting such things, which typically results in high comedy.
Or sometimes you get what we saw last night in DC.
On ESPN Monday Night Football, the previously athletic Vernon Davis caught a pass inside the red zone and started barreling towards the end zone.
As he approached Prince Amukamara, the Skins' TE began contemplating a hurdle, a plan the Bears CB immediately detected and foiled:

No, he most certainly was not.
No defensive player wants to look up and see the crotch of an opposing player as they sail over them, so props to Prince on dodging such a fate.
Here's a look at some previously successful hurdles that reduced defenders to mere apparatus.
Well done, sirs.
