NFL Week 7 ATS Hit List: Still Favoring the Favorites

We're sticking with the trend.

Our trend.

Last week, our inclination that NFL favorites would soon make a comeback proved to be correct. The numbers continue to indicate that this is going to continue in the near future.

Like this week.

Here's how the numbers are stacking up ATS coming into Week 7:

  • Home teams are 35-57-1,
  • Favorites are 36-56-1, and
  • Home favorites are 20-41-1.

Well, that's where we make bank, isn't it?

Remember that our suggestions here are based on early lines, so check where they stand now before making your plays.

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills -16½

Miami was oh so close to beating Washington in Week 6. The Fins lost, 17-16, on a bungled attempt to go for two.

Miami won’t give up in this matchup. But, they’re up against it, big time. Why? Buffalo averages 139.6 yards rushing per while Miami allows 169.6 rushing yards per.

The Bills go left, right, up the middle, on their way to 250 rushing yards and a 28-3 victory.

Result: Buffalo 31 Miami 21 ... Dolphins cover

Jacksonville Jaguars -3 at Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals are absolutely dreadful in the win-loss column. But, they’ve gone 3-3 against the spread this season. Does that mean they keep it close against the Jacksonville Jaguars?

Nope.

The Jags faced the New Orleans Saints' Top-10 defense in Week 6. In Week 7, Jax quarterback Gardner Minshew faces a defense that allows 426 yards per.

Result: Jacksonville 27 Cincinnati 17 ... Jaguars cover

Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts -1

Houston rallied for a sweet win over the Kansas City Chiefs, and they actually face a tougher task in Week 7.

Indianapolis beat the Chiefs, just like the Texans. However, the Colts played amazing defense on Patrick Mahomes.

Expect Indy to resort to the same tactics to keep Deshaun Watson guessing all game long. Underrated Colts chucker Jacoby Brissett will expose a Texans’ defense that allows 268 passing yards per.

Result: Indianapolis 30 Houston 23 ... Colts cover

San Francisco 49ers -9½ at Washington Redskins

Is this really the line? 49ers minus less than 10?

Yup, which means we'd better jump all over this as soon as we can. San Francisco is 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS. They have no business not beating DC by at least 17 on Sunday.

Result: San Francisco 9 Washington 0 ... Redskins cover

New England Patriots at New York Jets +10

OK, some home dogs are just too inviting to pass up.

Sam Darnold starting at QB, made all the difference for the Jets last week. Dude led his crew to an upset victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

The Patriots should be favored by this many points, but that doesn’t mean they’re a good play. The truth is that New England struggled mightily early against the New York Giants.

The Jets have a decent secondary led by one of the top safety duos in the NFL, Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye. Take the 10 points on J-E-T-S.

And, don’t be surprised if they push the Patriots for the straight-up victory.

Result: New England 33 New York Jets 0 ... Patriots cover
