Nathan Peterman Channels a Competent NFL QB for One Fleeting Moment

When we last checked in on the immortal Nathan Peterman, we were mourning the passing of his brief NFL career.

However, due in no small part to the existence of Jon Gruden, our hero somehow found his way back onto another NFL roster.

For those of us completely invested in the Nate Peterman experience, we honestly couldn't be happier.

Of course, this does mean we have to keep tabs on the Oakland Raiders' QB depth chart, but this is a small price to pay for the privilege of watching this brave man wrestle with logic and reason.

With his Raiders facing the Green Bay Packers in Winnipeg for some reason, it was definitely Nate's time to shine.

Unfortunately, we did have to sit through a full quarter of Mike Glennon, who is shitty in more conventional terms.

However, the magic carpet ride soon began.

Perhaps it was the weird ass 80-yard field or simply being off American soil, but dude was dealing:

That was definitely Nate dropping a dime for his second TD pass of the night midway through the fourth quarter.

Any skepticism is understandable, but we assure you this footage hasn't been doctored in any way.

But wait, there's more:

That was a professional football throw right there, kids.

We're not entirely sure, but that pass was oozing with clutch, as it converted a late fourth down that led to the eventual game-winning field goal.

Sadly, this spasm of competent football is nothing more than a tease, as the human giraffe Glennon will likely win the backup gig to starter Derek Carr by virtue of simply not being Nathan Peterman.

But then there's this:

Oh please make it so, benevolent gods of football.
